:upset: THAT SUX, I was wandering what happened, guess I'll leave my code inplace as a sad reminder, static sigs suck.

You can load random images though! It's a few threads up in the footer guidelines thread. Nokrev wrote a nice script that you can use :)

I've tried it and haven't been pleased with it. It's not as good as you may think ;).

ya, it discards a lot of colour information. A better way to do it is export is as an mpeg and import it into Quicktime Pro (Or a comparable program) and export it from there as a .gif

@kirupa: Weren't you going to reinstate flash footers once you cleaned up the database and got it back to normal?

I had originally planned on that, but there are still problems with users attaching SWFs to the forum via the attach feature and using it to embed problematic scripts. The attached SWF would be considered to be part of the same domain also.

why dont we just disable flash attachments? that way footers could still be used right?

either way they arent safe, and risks would be taken. Personnally, I wouldn't mind if they came back, but it really doesn't make any difference in the end.....

It's not a vBulletin issue, and they always have recommended members to not allow Flash on their boards ;)
