Check out the memory selection tool on http://www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com). You can use those specifications and buy the ram from there or from somewhere cheaper such as newegg.com ;)

If you don't know which kind, open up your computer and find a stick of ram and it should have a sticker on it with specs.

What OS are you running? I think that 324 megs is actually quite a bit for a normal user...I'm not sure you'll see a huge performance increase. I ran XP Home on my laptop with 256 mb of ram for almost 2 years and it performed fine.

Everybody seems to be "ram crazy" these days. Most all computers I build get a gig of ram, and quite frankly it seems like a complete waste of money. Oh well, that's just my two cents...maybe I should get with the times.

Mine came with 512, the max is 2GB and I just might buy a 1GB just to semi-max it for now.

i can't live with less then 512. i should have more. next computer, i'm getting a gig :)

i run out of RAM about 10 times every two days with 512. double that with 256.

How many slots do u have?
can u take a pic and post it here? both sides please!

if u can't... just go to ur neares pc shop and ask what it is!
If u have extra slots that can be used just buy another a stick of 512 MB at the speed u have and stick it in starting by the less amount of bytes and less speed to the other end of the spectrum!
A word of advice! 1 stick with less speed will downgrade all of the others to the least amount of speed and it has to be the first on older systems!

I just found this nifty little utility today...try downloading and installing it (it's free). It should tell you the type of ram you have. Hope this helps :)
