Splitting a large file over 3-4 dvds

I just backed up my system (norton ghost). But now the resulting file is 17gb on another machine on the network. My question is how can I split that resulting file amongst a few dvds for storage? I cannot leave that 17gb on my other machine.

when your using ghost if you select the destination of the image as the dvd writer, it will reboot go into ghost mode and just ask you for a new dvd when it gets full, as its backing up

Use Winrar and divide that file into portions.
