Yeah, the music is very loud. The timeline gets out of the black frame.

ill adjust the volume -

the time in the xml is off thats why its going farther than the bar - the player is of no consequence though - its just a vehicle to listen to the song

it's also not post-production mastered - was just throwing up something quick, sorry if it hurt anyone's ears

*edit fixed volume to be more amiable, still no post-prod mastering done

this is more about the track than the player or the volume right?

I like the track, pretty funky!, lol ...

The 'make it funky' sample is a little too soft to be kicked in like that after the intro, it dosent hit me, maybe a phat bass hit with 'make' or try to play with 'make' to have more bass. The sample at the start is nice, im not really diggin the way it faded out to make it funky.. im thinking maybe before the last volume fade that the end of the sample would repeat like naahh neeerr naahh nerrr nah nah nah, then hit it off with the edited 'make it funky'..

after the intro, i like the beat and the rythum of the track, i think that 'hey' sample needs to come in a little earlier with the last beat of that drum beat also dont have to always use the whole sample 'make it funky' you can chop it up use just 'funk'..

still nice work, hope i didnt chop up your work too much, lol. keep at it. :thumb:

*updated - i like your comments soulster :)

still working on it - saw a few other opportunities

oh and dont turn your speakers up - its supposed to be soft at the beginning - i think people were turning them up to hear it and then getting blasted.

clear your cache if you dont hear any changes :)

thats sounding good man, mabye a little tinny on that main synth noise, but other than that its got potential, baseline sounds familiar.......

sounds a bit like Dj Shadow, which isnt a bad thing :)

thanks ramie! ill get on it - bassline is my own - but it sounds like a crystal method bassline/70s funk lol - thought of that afterwards -

i uploaded the changes while you were viewing the thread ramie, if you could re-listen and tell me what you think (if you in fact listened before i had it uploaded :) )

*new version has a siren at the beginning among other things

oh yes, that sounds very good, i can see where your going with that with the little reverse bit aswell........

that sample with the pan pipes and "just what is it....." is excellent, after that comes in for the second time, you should let the track rip, fullon breakbeat and the baseline distored or sounding very dirty.

The updated version sounds really good:) And I agree, you should let the beat "develop" after "just what is it that you want to do". One more thing, the "hey" sounds a bit distorted to me, somehow noisy.
Good work:)

i cant say im really digging the update. The siren's at the start dont work for me, also from all the years listening to music old school and new, i found that some sounds or samples used in music dont have to make sense but resemble something that is used later in the song, the sample 'make it funky' being your main sample here, i think you can use that a lot but not as a whole. During the beats you can have that sample just using "make" a few times, then a few times.. "funk" or "funky" as the sample goes he does say funk-ee , so you can drop 'ee' anytime shouldnt be too hard and still get a strong 'funk'. so you can mix and match that sentence up. Keep playing with it, post any changes you do. ;)

Hey PR... AWESOME WORK. :thumb2:

Could you add a scratch or two towards the end on the "Make it Funky" loop.

Make it F-*scratch*-Fu-*scratch-Funky! or something.

I dont know... it sounds fine without it. But scratching is funky.

What are you program are you using?

yeah soulty i feel ya on it, just didnt take the time to break the sample up last night - im actually going to get a record scratch limitlis and hopefully match the two ideas up

the siren at the beginning was to kind of throw off the "out of nowhere" hit (but it doesnt have to stay i mainly liked it for one note in particular) - i mainly liked the skidding sound - like its unavoidable you're going to get hit!

but ima keep toying around with it - ill have more time tonight didnt have much last night

thanks everyone for the kind words :)

That's not bad. I agree with soulty, the siren doesn't fit, it sounds a little gangsta. I find the beat a little weak, maybe it's due to the mp3 but it sound compressed, there could be louder kick in it. I'm feeling this as an intro, waiting to hear how it will develop

I goota do things properly next time. Anyway:
I don't tihnk the siren fits,
I don't think the beat is loud enough for that type of music.

I can't say much more, mainly beacuse I... Am.. Wierd.

Good player, btw.

reason is not a easy application to start with, my brother has it with a video tutorial on dvd which is a really good way to learn the app, great purchase.

::edit:: not the one my brother has, but check the reason vid out
