Tribal Studios is looking for a talented graphic designer to help us shape our company image. While we currently have a logo (which you can view at www.tribalstudios.com (http://www.tribalstudios.com)), it doesn't accurately establish the type of look and feel we're attempting to achieve.

This is where you come in. Design us a wonderfully unique logo that portrays the feelings of community and togetherness that Tribal Studios is all about. Some starter ideas may be a tiki theme, or perhaps the "wicked-worn" look. Have fun with it!

To the winner goes a 5-pack of Macromedia Contribute software, normally priced at $750. This is a great application for budding web designers to add value to your site offerings as well as creating unique solutions for your clients. You can find out more about Contribute on Macromedia's site (http://www.macromedia.com/software/contribute/).

Please submit your watermarked entry to "contest at tribalstudios.com". All entries must be received by August 1st, 2005. The winner will be notified in writing and the prize exchanged for a full vector version of the logo at that time. For more information, or clarification on the design, please feel free to e-mail us at the info above.

Thank you for participating - we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Correct, by 5-pack I mean 5 seats. Actually, there are 5 cd's with license keys housed in a neat little informational folder that you can give to clients.

I am working in it but I have some questions:
1. What kind of file I must send the logos??? Im working in flash, so can I send the .fla/.swf??? or the .jpg???
2. Do you have restricted colors for the new designs?
3. Can it be animated???
4. How can I send it??? do I just publish it in the forum???
Thanks:)

1. The final version must be an editable vector image, so preferably an Illustrator .ai file.
2. No restrictions on color - use whatever you'd like.
3. No animation.
4. You can publish a watermarked image to the forum or send it to us at the email address above.

I am using Macromedia FreeHand. It has an export to .ai, but it tends to turn out not-as-editable when used in Illustrator. I was just wondering if you had any problems with this.

That would be fine as well - any editable vector file.

will it be used for print? If so does your print shop/budget handle 4 color logos?

Good question - lets assume that, yes, it'll be used for print at some point. 4 color should be fine. If we could also get a greyscale version, that'd be great.

Can I send more than 1 options????, I mean 2 or 3????

If you're struggling for ideas, one thing we came up with was a nature-oriented icon theme. Maybe arranging it in a circular or other pattern to represent community. Just an idea :)

The original announcement says August 1st, 2005. So the contest would still be open correct? It is merely July 19, 2005.

Maybe a little clarification would help :)
