I just whipped this together to help someone in another post, and it turned out good enough to show off here I think. I provided a link to the source (its too big)

SWF: http://jsites.no-ip.com/Flash/exp/paintcan/paintcan.swf
FLA: http://jsites.no-ip.com/Flash/exp/paintcan/paintcan.fla
ZIP: http://jsites.no-ip.com/Flash/exp/paintcan/paintcan.zip

UPDATE: I added the size variable (to control to size of the pixels) plus I made it round the position so that there is never half overlapping

Wow nice work jerez, maybe you can make a tutorial about this, some great stuff. Might be better if we had more control though, seems like such a small can makes a huge impact on the canvas. If the spray radius was smaller, and filled in quicker/darker it might look like spray paint a bit more. I'll watch to see what happens with this.

actually in the source I set it up so itrs pretty easy to control. You can easily set the max radius and I also have a speed variable. This variable controls the max number of pixels that will fill every frame. So lower the radius and up the speed :D

EDIT: There, smaller and faster :)

Much better, that's exactly what I meant. Now it feels like MS Paint .

Who-RAH! Okay, a couple of things. First off: NOOO, NOT Microsoft PAINT!!! Second thought: cool... effect... concept... ish. SO yeah -- definitely cool to make a tutorial of this, but it freaked me out to the point of Paint a whole... whole... lot. :eye: Anyway: plz make a tutorial on that one, definitely worth it.

but the music is awesome and the sound of the can being shook is great! :thumb:

Any chance you could post the fla for others to use?

Yep, grafiti one = nice :) Only problem is its thick, and I dunno if you can adjust the density of the spray.
