Hey guys I've finished doing my site its XHTML & CSS. I'm not that good at graphics so the design is dead simple.

Uses PHP & mySQL, I created a CMS much like this one here at the forums without the smilies.

Not bad at all. Probably the biggest improvement could be the choice of font, the current one is not that readable. Otherwise, plain, simple and effective

I chose that font baecause it looks more informal that verdana etc.....oh well intended thoughts achieved, simple.

a nice and simple site! like it but when mouse is over the headlines there appears a line over the text, thats a bit annoying.

thats the rollover dude (the line through the headlines :) ) I thought i'd make it different the standard underline :) lol :)

yeah I know it's rollover^^ and also the yellow color in the boxes to the right cud be a different color...

what yellow color??? Are you on about the nav sections...if so they are green but there is no yellow on the site.

i'm baffled I used no yellow :(

lol, it does look a bit yellow doesnt it. nah, the site is ace. i love clean cut css sites. only thing i dont like is the strikethrough rollover.

dang...I thought the strike through rollover looked pretty cool :( I might change it tommorow if many more people feel its a little crap.

I still don't get how the green on the right side looks yellow I've looked at it of TFT and CRT monitors.

to me its just like using a strikethrough rollover is damaging your own work. also the green just looks like that safety green/yellow that police etc wear, thats all.

lol :) I understand the police thing I didn't think of that till you just mentioned it :)

I dunno if it damages my work but like I sadi if many more dislike it then I'll get rid of it :)

no probs. the words i type sumtimes dont collate with wots in my head....with the strikethrough its like "heres my lovely site, its kool, simple and clean cut. but when you move your mouse over it a big black line covers it!"

I also dont like the strike though (1 more person).

And on my monitor its yellow (even my bro said it was yellow and all i asked is whats that color). Although the color does look good im just confiriming that it is yellow.

i agree with wot u edited! the footer doesnt span the whole site, only the content column. As shown in the attached image.

Looks fantastic mate, love the simple layout design, colours are really nice too. Only thing is like others said the fonts, but other than that I really like mate :thumb:

I just changed the rollover thing of the titles to the green/yellow background color...does it look better???

About the font - I think it looks good and with othe fonts i.e. verdana, gerorgia it looks dull and boring :(
