Try not to post your own sites under kool sites, instead in the "Showcase and Critiques" section for thoughts and comments.

Good luck with the boards :te:.

4 teens 2 b, you mean.

I hate that stereotype of teenagers by the way - I know no 'teens' who are like that, purely because I hate chavs. It shoudl say:
"the place 4 chavs and druggies 2 b"

so all of a sudden this forum became about ripping people apart for their work?
the only reason i joined is because i thought everyone would be friendly regaurdless of the site being critiqued.

i think the site looks fine. maybe throw in a fade in the background to give it some more character, it does look a little plain.

You've got a point, I forgot to actually critique anything...
The gradients are better used than normal, but maybe make them more subtle?
The icons (>>, in this case) don't.. blend very well.

It's a little plain, other than that, it's ok. But less gradientedness.

Haha I still stand behind the fact that it totally sucks. Hey, it's the truth, if you want to get any better in life, face the facts. Get back out there and try again.

I'm sorry you feel this way.

If you do a track record on the threads in S&C that the user that posted this thread, you will notice that this site has been posted numerious times, in wrong places in the past.

Nothing more then a new "forum" did he post, no skinning no design, etc.

So basically many of us feel it is a shameless plug to his/her forums, which is frowned upon at kirupa.

S&C is exactly what is sounds like, and in my opinion all that was done was clicking a button in the hosts cpanel to install a forum.

However, I fail to see how replies like "Your site sucks" or "I hate your site" accomplish anything. I am a creative writing major in college and most of my classes are workshops, no one ever just says, "Your writing sucks" because that doesn't help anyone. That is my point about people posting on this forum. If a site sucks, there should be a reason for it. I guess its just the first time I've seen negative feedback that only seems to put someone down.

bobbo, it's nothing personal buddy. And it's the first time you've seen negative feedback? Well you want honesty don't you? If you want to do better in life, you got to take what the people want, and try and come back with something better :D

Trust me, I've been put down for TONS of my work, but that never stopped me, it made me a lot better ;)

I have to agree the site sucks, he just installed a default forum by clicking a button... it's a shameless plug, plain and simple. If someone turned in a copy of Huckleberry Finn to you and put it in the wrong place, then said it was his cool new paper just to get "attention" you would fail him would you not?

It would be a very bad teaching method to just tell him that his paper looks fine, and he should just add a little more of his words in it. :)

Just my 2 cents,
3dnirvana

Edit:// woops I read that you were a English teacher.... my bad. Just pretend that you have an English class ok? :)
