just playing with mask transitions and this happened, its nothing special, but i'm a newbie and rather pround of it.

as i am new to flash i was not that much clear with your masking stuff i know basic masking but u did soemthing more so can u just tell me what is the way you did.

if you could be a little more specific as to which bit you are unsure of i'd be happy to help.
but basically there is an empty MC on the mask layer, when loaded a number of instances of maskMC are attached to this. the code on symbol1 handles the movement of the mask clips, the first image is on frame one, the second on frame 2, when the black symbol 1 is attached to the maskholder it reveals the image on frame 1, and the button takes you to the second frame where the whole thing is repeated.
sorry, I know that isnt too clear but I hope it helps a bit, if I get chance I will post a commented version of the .fla but I am kinda busy at the momentso it could be a little while.

It would be cool if you could make it so if you clicked the button to change between images, before it finished masking between, it didn't show the full image then start masking again, but went from the current stage of transition.
Did that make sense?

picture is creapy, id use more symmetry in the mask, but tahts bcuz i like symmetry, but nice anyway
