"Account management and Secure log in log out using php

I'm trying to create an account management system which will involve

account creation
emailing the newly registered user to notify their acct creation
login/logout , etc

like a typical account management. preferrably in php & sql.

does anyone know a good link for a tutorial? or any others that are predone and are just add-ons to a website? any help will be appreciated :)

That would be nice. I don't think that most of it would be too difficult. The idea of producing a secure (untracable password) account should be fairly easy with php and mysql. The only thing I don't really know of is the whole log in and log out thingy..

I'm not too sure if I'm the best one to answer this question though. There are others with more experience. If it's alright with you, I'll change the title of this thread to something which explains a little more of what you're looking for, you might get a good reply from someone who knows then.

Not that I'm faulting you.. very few people realize that we typicaly answer none descript questions like this last when we make our rounds, and some of us don't bother to look at these questions at all.
