Some of you may remember my old fireworks experiment (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80414). Its downfall, of course was its insane CPU-sappage.
Well, I took the same core engine I'd written and I've taken it down to nearly a quarter of its old usage, as well as vectorized it into a cool Kirupian blue.
Here it is!

Update, again for CPU usage. Sense a theme yet? :P
And again, the preview lags because of the scaling. Download it and view in the swf player, not your browser.

That is a really neat effect. I would suggest making the fireworks appear more even. I know it's supposed to be random, but I waited for about 7 seconds looking at a blank screen, then bout 6 of them came up at the same time, and then another period of nothing.
I love the effect in you orginial experiment.

I might set it to a timer-based system instead. Thanks for the suggestion and comments. :beam:

If I make more your computer will lag like maple syrup. That, or concrete. Take your pick. :P
