Hi guys,
I decided to throw together a couple of footers in case I don't have time to make any more before the deadline... both aren't exactly my style(especially one of them, haha, try to figure out which).
Crunchy:

Rumbley:

Nice color job on both of them, were they custom :)? Hmm, I'm guessing Rumbley isn't your style :P?

Custom in what way? I just made them right now, if that's what you mean :)
Oh yeah and I mostly made rumbley because I stumbled upon a neat way to make images that look like this: Weird colour effect. (http://matt-rix.com/kirupa/Footers/whacky_effect.jpg)
PS: The names rumbley and crunchy have nothing to do with the actual footers, they're just easier ways to reference them :)

PPS: I like your footer a lot, it's definitely the one to beat... I'm going to have to make some better ones in the next week in order to compete... I hope I'll have time... :)

Oh I see, they both look good though, make sure you update this thread if you're gonna change them next week. (Thanks for the PPS comment)

Ya all you have to do is set the blending mode of the gradient tool. I forget which one you have to use though *runs off to go experiment*
But i like the second one a lot more, how the text goes beyond the border of the colours.

Um well I didn't use gradient tool at all, and I don't think you could recreate it using that as easily/quickly/at-all.

Yeah if I get a chance, my real entries my incorporate something like that.
