Hi
well this is what ive come up with, this is my 2nd attempt of a full flash site, very basic and almost everything is from some tutorial of Kirupa :D the graphics i take credits for, even though there is very little at the moment.
I would like more control over my mp3 playing thing though, at the moment it plays in a movie and the movie is loaded onto the main.swf
But ive seen loads topics for this mp3 player and am struggling with it,
not all links are ready but everytime i update my site it will be uploaded to the temp folder

Please comment but dont be to harsh :P

it's very minimalisic, which is fine, but what you have has no need for flash at all. You could just as easily, and it would probably be easier to make, make it in CSS or even just HTML. I see no advantage of using flash here. Also, you fonts are blurry on some of the buttons, and there was an error when viewing one of the sections, it went to a solid black box.

I will be adding more tweens the more i get to the end of the project, the black box error should be gone right now as im using this flash file from some user on here, im just about to ask one thing so please check the flash mx forum for my post if you could help

I think it looks pretty good.
You should prolly get rid of the tag that follows your mouse when you mouse-over a heading. It's redundant as you have a "+" that shows up next to the heading as well as it changing colors. Get rid of it over your links, too. I would just not have it at all.
I would add transition effects if you're going to stick to it being all Flash.
Nice simple look, though. I like it.
Oh yeah, are you going to put something in the bar beneath the main content? It looks as if something should belong in there.

some font things to check,
make sure that the position is on a whole pixel, remove all decimals on the x and y co-ordinates.
if the font is small enough, turn off the font "Alias Text" tool. (get pixel fonts)
looks good though, maybe you should centre it as well. And as you have mentioned, some sound controls would be a bonus.

Thanks, going to try the text fix now, also the captions on the menu are coming off but staying on the content links.
Transition will be added when i can think of a view for it, any ideas?

Grrrr
Font is just being a b c t i h, cant fix it, its the same as the font that arnt blur.
As for the bottom i would like maybe an mp3 player or a news scroller, havnt decided yet. also the menu captions... if i take them away then its going more bland. when i started this i had no idea in mind for what i would want apart from it working lol. now i can do number of things im pulling my hair out how to go about it and what to add.
Ideas are more than welcome.

Just wondering why the captions are a no no? i like them but everybody ive asked on my msn list agrees with you guys. it look tacky or just not needed?
Also i need some idea what to add to the bottom of the page,
I looked at my site, ive got no logo, anybody up for knocking something up for me fast that will fit with that theme? :to: i can design one but right now to lazy too, might finish of the contact page and remove the portfolio one with a static one.

i think the underscores before the menu options are out of place. they make it seem as though the menus are loaded through a database but have incurred an error.
the photo of you is hilarious.
