I am doing a Maya project but being very new to such programs.. I am having problems.. anyone here can help or know of any Maya forums that is well populated and friendly like Kirupa? :te:

Anyway I will just post my questions here in case someone comes along and knows the answers

I am trying to put a floatSlider on a UI for users to choose a value, but I want the value to be fixed at certain intervals, say 0, 0.1, 0.2, .... 1.0
How can I do that?

Also I want the UI to print out the current selected value on the slider.. how do I do this??

Thats all for now..
Thanks!!!

hey dude, there are a few of us decent at 3d and some at maya on the boards but i doubt there will be peoples that know much about custom ui elements.

check out 3dbuzz, theres a dedicated 3d section (dedicated maya section) that you probably could find a quicker and better answer from the peeps there that specialise in that field.

www.3dbuzz.com

aside from maya "mel" i might be able to help you out (probably not , lol :sigh: .) ..well ill try :P
