Hello everyone, I have a question about the nav style for my site. Basically, I have a nav menu on the top-left, but the text and buttons are positioned sideways like so: www.rawsonreload.com/template.html (http://www.rawsonreload.com/template.html)
I am asking for anyone's opinion on this. Should I be worried about people getting frustrated over this? Will visitors (you) mind the way it's positioned? Do you just HATE it and wish I found a new way to position it? Or, do you like it and think it will work well?
I just need some honest answers before continuing the designing of the site. Also comment on the design if you want (so far, it's not really started at all, just the main object for the nav are 'completed').

Hi Panther,
I would say that you can position things as you wish, but be consistent.
You have things at all kinds of angles on the page and in conjunction with the organic curves of the layout it is very confusing.
Looking at the layout you have already, i could imagine small icons representing each section as opposed to the large rectangular buttons.
either way in your case i dont think the vertical buttons are working.

Well, i think the layout (angled tabs) will work once completely done. Icons sound like a good idea, I'll experiment a little. :) About the nav, do you think horizontal would work? I'll fix up a few more templates and post them asap. Thx for the comment.

yeah, the different angles aren't working for me either, too much of a mess to be honest, plust you have a lot of lost space on top. i suggest putting them in the same angle as your news and audio. i do like the colorscheme thought :thumb:

Thx, but it was going ot be something like this: www.rawsonreload.com/template_color.html
I was going to have a different color scheme for each section, hence the name 'pixel rainbow'. so you were looking at a scheme only for the 'work' section. click (http://www.rawsonreload.com/template.html)
Thx for the comments :)

i think its a neat idea but its kind of annoying to try to read the button text when its going vertical like that.

- How about instead of putting your nav buttons totally vertically, you situate them diagonally...?:+)

Sounds good. But what about the icon idea for each section? Does anyone have an opinion on that? Thx :)
