Flash Rss Newsreader

Hi,

I am just a beginner in Flash and I want to start of learning Flash by doing something am more interested.I came across this really cool Newsreader
and wanted to do something similar to that.

Any pointers ,from where to start :
Actionscript,XML would be the basics but i would want to know how to go about it.

I've created a RSS reading Flash site. Just about to finish creating the visual sparks and stuff, and I'll release it to the public. Maybe I should do something unusual; Share the source of the whole website?

I'm about to release my version of a Flash newsreader as well... looks I'm a bit late, but it cost me a hell of a lot of time to script everything...

Does anybody know any similar software that would help achieve that kind of look? I mean exporting with that customized skin, minimize to tray, msn popup style?
The one that blago (Hanneke Hoogstrate) used is not available for download anymore :|

If anybody's still interested in my feed reader, I've rewritten it in AS3, updated its looks etc. Then I tried to sell the app. Didn't work. So I am now planning to change it into a free download. hi i am a beginner in flash program all i want to develop is i need to use the flash player in the client side to get the input from the mic and the audio file should be in a mp3 format and send it to the server

i just finish making my flash, and i use one of KIRUPA tutorial falling snow for AS2, then how can i stop the falling snow when i press the button in scene that have the AS2 falling snow? i means,when i go to other scene, the falling snow is stop??? please, this is my first time using flash! :diss:
