What? Lava entered a contest? WTF??
Yeah, well, I got bored, and I thought making an entry for this would be interesting. So here it is:

width=550 height=125

Man, one thing about flash player on a browser - SLOW. As I was working on this thing in flash (with about 15 different programs running, seriously), everything was perfect. Then I stuck it into this page, and WHAM! Slow as hell. So I had to get rid of a few things.

By the way, have you guys actually tested the movie using the "testing.swf" container? If you use calls to _root, you're going to be a bit dissapointed.

If I decide to make some more, I'll keep everything together here: Link (http://web.mit.edu/lavaboy/www/random/kcontest/)
Here are the attached .swf and .fla files. Enjoy.

That is really marvelous but can you try to make it to a lighter background
Otherwise it is :thumb:

I like the BG as it is. Its very nice! Somehow, though, I don't really like the antacid being so prominent. If I were you, I'd making it a little less noticable. It also comes from the right 90% of the time.

CPU - 92% on Firefox...

It's cool :)

Maybe if you took the borders off the bubbles it would run faster? And if any of your objects have alphas, removing those would help too.

No! The bubble borders are the best part! Maybe make them shapes if you have to? Just don't take them away...

:h: Only 3% max on my system Phlashman (AMD 2600+ 366mhz and 1GB ram)!

Edit: Oops, my bad Plashman, My system goes upto 50% max while the pill is on screen.

Ya now mine is at about 75%, sometimes more.
0.5 * 2600 = 1200
.75 * 1600 = 1200
What do you know!! Wow, didn't expect an exact match :D

One suggestion is: make the tablet spawn off the screen (_y=-_height/2) assuming the registration point is in the center of the circle. It seems to spawn half in view. I almost think it would be cooler without the tablet or you could replace it with a highly transparent kirupian (I know that's probably not a word, but you know its intent) circle. I do like the bubble effect though. Nice job :) .
