maybe a little plain for this application, unless you have a few of those going at once, i don't know if that'll start to make it laggy or not. but good job either way!

I like the first one, but I think it needs more. The second has strange gradients and things that I don't like.

Farsite, please upload the SWF of your effect :) It shouldn't include the frame or anything like you have in your example.
