Hey, im starting an online store and need a shopping cart for this. I signed up with charge.com but the cart they supplied me with didnt even track invetory...lame. anyways i was wondering if anyone could point me in the best direction for a free cart that is actually like...good ( also it has to be able to fit into my web design i made, not some 100% template based thing ). Another option for me would be to read some tutorials and make my own, this does sound simple enough but the credit card proccessing seems like it would be hard to program and waht not, any help?

thanks

The CC processing can be challenging. I'm told that osCommerce can be made to look quite nice, if you have enough patience.

I've worked with and used osCommerce before for a client and it's not really that difficult to make changes to. But like JustJeff said, if you have enough patience. A lot can be done to the CSS and images, but sometimes you have to hunt through the code to make sure your layout ends up how you want it.

Otherwise take a look at: http://www.opensourcecms.com/

There's a few e-Commerce solutions there that are okay. You can demo them to see if they have what you need.
