When I posted my first submission I said that it would probably be the only one. Well, guess what? I'm a big liar!

Here's the 3rd one:
width=555 height=125

Other entries:
Move 'n Explode (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99546)
Electricity (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99574)
Push 'em (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99649)

kode - you'll need to upload the FLAs for the entries also :)

That's another neat one by you... it'd be cool if popped or something...

yeah i kinda wanted it to pop too, and then all those pieces do the same growing thing...really cool though. You never let me down.

Ok, then. I'll make the thing pop. But I'll take care of it tomorrow. Thanks for the idea. :)

I know, but is it ok if I upload them later? Let's say, the last day for submissions? :beam:

Looks great, yet another one has won me over. My new favorite

(btw, Kirupa, to be a judge, I don't actually need to look in the FLA's or anything that needs Flash, do I?)

jeff - no, you don't have to at all. I require the FLAs only to make sure that, if an animation doesn't work on the home page (usually a depths issue), I can take a look and see what may be causing it to not work :)

Alright, good. I figured it was best to check now. :)

Simply excellent. It's definitely my favorite of the 3, and I think it's going to be real hard to top that one.

That is really a good idea
but you should make the explosion effect better

Kode!!!!

You stole my idea. I thought of it two days ago. When did you think of it?

Well, mine was a bit different. Still, you've done too much. Mine's gonna be too similar, if I get around to making something (good enough).

It'd be cool if any time any of them collided they'd get bigger. Not just that one.

Can I Kiruparight the idea? :P

That was my idea. You just stole it from my head while I was sleeping last night. :P Anyways, I probably won't get to making an (good) effect anyways.
Ditto! So weird...

I realllllllllllllllllllllllllly like this one.

A question...how do you guys learn how to do effects like this?!

e-sarbak
06-12-2005, 11:40 AM
It is about creativity and about knowledge of Actionscript
Also some advantages like well drawing would be very good...:)

jmayo86

Yer im just missing out on the knowledge of ActionScript :(

Learning actionscript is really necessary to create marvelous samples...:)
But dont worry, it is not something very hard

Vector forces!:
http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~jenolive/homevec.html
Click my footer to calculate, so you can experiment!
Using AS really isn't much of it, just get comfortable with the on's and onClipEvent's. And properties such as _x, _y, _width, _height, _xscale, _yscale, _alpha...
It's the math knowledge and creativity that makes it work.

However, it is different in some intances, where you want randomness controling it. I happen to find vectors the easiest way to deal with this, though.

That is really a coolvector calculater but you should send it to "Source" thread

Lol, ok. I like it in my footer too! My footer is the list of things I've made. So it will never be very long at all.
