Just *one* thing, though. Is this not the corniest thing you've ever seen?:

I got that yesterday and tried some things on it... it's pretty nice, but I don't do much with Quicktime except watch videos that certainly haven't been optimized for it yet given that the real version isn't out yet ;).

I downloaded this yesterday also, and that pic ya3 is really LAME!! I saw that and just went 'oh my god, apple losers!'.
I only use quicktime for some tutorial vids I have but it ws worth the upgrade, looks alot nicer as well on the interface. Cant say too much as I havnt tested it much.

I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but when I was streaming a video, I could see the load progress but not where I currently was in the file. I could see how many seconds into it I was, but not the little bar that there should be.

I can't stand quicktime... but I'll guess I'll end up using it a bit eventually

I like quicktime... on the Mac.
Apple software just doesn't work on the PC.

I use Quicktime alternative now, for I don't like how QT installs itself onto my system tray or when I restart my comp. Even disabling the systray icon under Preferences doesn't always work.
I'll definitely download the final version of QT7 to see how it is though :)

I've always gotten QT to go away for good in the systray... My problem is getting other things to stay there :P

Kirupa: Right click->Preferences->Browser Plugin->uncheck the appropriate box has always worked for me...

I tried that, yet after playing any QT movie, it returns. I also find qttask.exe in my msconfig's Startup area re-adding itself each time QT is launched. It's not a major issue though, but I'm very picky about not having any app run/idle in the background unless it is needed :)

i downloaded it and it seems pretty nice, one thing im interested in testing is the new codec H.264, since it was said that its compression size / quality is pretty amazing. Havent tested it yet though, but sounds promising.

Well then you must really hate iTunes as well(I hate them both!).

Itunes is ok, but I don't use it for the same reason as QT. The only program I have running in my background is Norton AV.

I downloaded it a day or so ago.
It looks better than 6, but not as nice as on the Mac.
Plus the video quality is insane, H.264 is freaking quality, download some High Def trailers from the Apple website.
