Just a few questions about silk screening and custom tshirts and clothing. So basically i want to make my own graphics and logos as a vector art or whatever and put them on to a tshirt. I dont like iron on transfers so i want to do silk screening. Though, i dont have the materials, i need to find a place or site that offers that kind of stuff where i can give them my graphics and have them put it on a tshirt the way i want it.

Questsion :

(NOTE: I do not want these clothings in bulk. Because they are only for myself :p)
How much do these things cost? Tshirts, sending them the graphics etc...
Where can i find someone to do this for cheap?
I may have other questiosn but these are basics.

and if that doesnt work....

The alternatives?
What can i do on my own to make?
How much do silk screen presses and supplies cost?
Are there iron on transfers but a lot better quality?

If anyone knows anything about this kind of stuff, some info would be delicious! :rabbit:

Questsion :
How much do these things cost? Tshirts, sending them the graphics etc... Probably a $10-$20 set-up fee for each shirt and then $2-$5 a print.
Where can i find someone to do this for cheap? Google.com Craigslist.com...

The alternatives? Do Iron on. Buy a screening press.
What can i do on my own to make? huh?
How much do silk screen presses and supplies cost? Again, google.
Are there iron on transfers but a lot better quality? they are all going to look pretty much the same.

I see, thanks for your effort :D. Maybe ill check craigslist or good somehow. I know a person who is getting one a press, but you have to cut the design out to transfer it so itsl ike a stencil.. That is awful if it is like that cause then that means no grunge :(

if you wanted really grungy you could probably just get the fabric dyes or paints and slap 'em straight on by hand.... get a dirty big brush and do some scratchy strokes, or dribble the stuff on.

since i don't like grunge clothes, i haven't really paid attention to what they do, but i'm sure if you looked at the styles you like you may be able to do something like it by hand.

haha that's so funny, I JUST got into this lol: http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96983&page=1

I love it, it's really an amazing project..

1) not very expensive for a kit, about 50 bucks, but you do need a darkroom
2) if you want, I could do the shirts for you, if so, contact me :thumb:

oh and THAT does mean grunge...to the max, because it's not cutting out a stencil. All your design needs to be is on transperency paper, like the ones your teachers have. You just draw, or print on that, then there's your design!

Most places require a 10-12 minimum for each order (not all but most). If your trying to stay cheap keep in mind when making your artwork that the more colors you have the more screens are involved... which will reuslts in more money.

Use a phonebook and call around for pricing. Internet orders usually cost more.
