mmm... ineteresting. Have you tried in MS Paint? Or other program? Try using Alt+PrntScrn to get a focus and see if it works.

this is hapaning to me now too!
it seems to happen to me after I open and close maya. It makes it so I cant use printscreen. Could it be a memory overflow problem? (i had flash photoshop maya and premire all open). this has happened to me multiple times, i would like an answer also! :)

I got this from another forum hope it helps:
i do have some trouble with printscreening video files too.
when i paste it in photoshop, some times it just appears as a black box, other times, there's a pic of the vid clip in it...
and it happens by chance.
It's because most video applications use overlay mode (YV12 or similar, not RGB) where the data is sent directly to video card. One workaround for this is to open a program that uses overlay first and playing the desired video clip in other window. This works in most video cards as they don't support multiple overlay windows at once. I'm not sure about PowerVR Kyros, though.

thanks, but that's a different problem that eveyone has. This is where print screen plain dosent work. I hit the button then go to a graphics program and pres ctrl+v and nothing happens.

try an alternate screen grab app. Irfanview is free and has a screen grab feature. Try using that.

I have had a similar problem when I select view source in your web browser. Maybe choose to delete your Temporary internet files and your history and see if that helps.

try closing and re-opening photoshop ;)
I get this every now and again. Usually seems to fix the problem.
