As some of you know I was at Eric Meyers workshop on Friday and...wow...what that guy doesn't know about CSS isn't worth knowing....just...totally blown away by the guys knowledge

but, something I wanted to tell you guys that some of you may already know. Someone asked him if he knew what IE7 would support/include. He said he'd heard rumours but one thing that had been confirmed.....

IE 7.0 will support transparency of PNG's

it's about time Gates :m:

Pretty sure thats been common knowledge for awhile now. We'll still have to take IE6 and older into consideration when designing sites for at least a few more years so its hard to get excited about this.

I'd be more interested to know if Meyers had any info about IE7 having better standardization in regards to relative and absolute positionng.

They should've given it to a different company then, they weren't doing a good job at it anyways. :rolls eyes at Microsoft:

DOn't think he wanted to say too much incase he got in trouble. He knew far more than he told us but, thats all he was willing to say on the day

I kind of knew that pngs would be supported in the next release, FF is well praised for its support of that.

Almost all browsers except IE support PNGs. I wonder when IE or Firefox will get SVG support ... which Opera already has :P.
