I often read that the 2Advanced site was (and sometimes still is) people's favourite Flash website. Especially for Flash website designers and artists. Check out the Flashkit forum. I think some people visit it every day!
I think it's a very well done site, with killer effects and feel, but that wasn't the first website *ever* where I thought "WOW!!".

This one did it for me: original 1998 Balthaser website (http://www.balthaser.com/b1/home.html)

I couldn't stop watching it and played the intro over and over again. The speed, the effects, the music, everything was so perfect and with a lot of energy. I *love* the music change when you hit the button "services" or "credits". For me, this was my first #1 site. It's kind of old now, but it's still amazing!

So, what about you guys?

I think 2A is over-rated. Sure they are great at what they do, but if youve seen the job requirements, you would see why, its almost impossible to get in unless you know 167 computer and web languages and 279 different programs.

I honestly think there are people out there just as good and/or better than 2A, but they get no credit because 2A soaks it all up like a sponge.

i remember saying the word 'wow' when i first saw 2advanced's site....

i was delighted when the verticle columns of shades of blue, spread apart at the top of the page, to accomodate the header and what not. At that point, i realised that Flash truly does kick major butt!!

Other sites worthy of a 'wow' are Crucial Limit.com, and NeoStream.com..

the first site that made me go wow was

eye 4 u (http://www.eye4u.com)

but that was a while ago now...

since then i advanced to the likes of

donnie darko (http://www.donniedarko.com)

truly great website, technically brilliant, aesthetically pleasing but most of all very sticky....

maybe one day?

way back when... I saw this kid's site:

http://www.gabocorp.com

he has since redone it, but keep in mind, when I saw this guy's stuff, Flash2 had just been released, he was 14 years old, and he just blew me away.

It may look simple by today's standard, but I assure you it is not. He has gone into full animation, and left the rest of us in the dust...

I won't lie...

2a is the reason i even learned flash, but it wasn't the FIRST.

That would actually be a mini-site made for their proliant servers
at compaq.com, which is obviously no longer there.

Majeye's reply is similar to what I thought as well.
