Here is a first attempt at anime. Ya'll let me know what you think. These are raw pencil sketches so......

Yeah I plan on doing the vector thing they are going to be characters for a project I am working on.

I have put a new definition on the word busy......BUt it is starting to calm down now so I am back. I dont know the diff between manga and anime :crazy: but I just picked up a pencil and this is what came out! Who knows the diff between manga and anime.

me, manga is japanise comics, like comic books. Anime is Japanise cartoon shows...Manga is usually more detaled and smooth cause its still...

I wouldn't really classify it as anime, its more american anime-esque stuff... not that thats bad, i kinda of like a mixture like that.

I guess I have my own style somewhere between manga and anime.... Thanks ya'll I am going to touch em up then make them vector or I may try a lil sumthin sumthin...In painter. MOre comments welcome.

they look really schweet... but xxviii is correct when he says it's not true anime/manga, and also correct when he says there's nothing wrong with that!

having said that, i don't really like the hair on the far right one... it looks like you were trying to do a specific anime hairstyle, but it's not quite the right way to go about it. I found a tute somewhere that explains how to do it, but i forgot :(

if you are interested in developing the manga side more, try this site : www.howtodrawmanga.com

then when you choose tutorials go to the one on hair, they might cover it there :)

overall it's really cool, and i think a vector version would be so good, not sure about painter :block:

Thank pie I think I am going to try to develop my own style but I will use whats on that site as a guide thanks for the links. So I think I am going to roll with these. Kinda like the idea of the being neither manga nor anime. Hehe and your right about the hair mind you I was looking at a pic of angelina jolie when I created her.
