Could some of the more experienced photographers help me out. I would like to take better photos and I'm not sure why the ones I took the other day seem grainy. I'm guessing it is either A. my camera isn't good enough. (only 4MP) or B. The light was too low and I didn't have the right ISO or Aperture setting.

Welcome back man, nice pics of Stumptown :)

If your digicam has any manual settings you can up the "brightness" setting though you'll have to compensate for longer exposure with a tripod or some such steadying device.

Woulda been hard on a boat to keep a steady shot though.

My mom made a little mini-bean bag type pillow for resting her camera (SLR) on while travelling in a jeep on safari in Africa. She got some amazing sunset/twilight/full moon shots. There is always a way. ;)

Yes keeping a steady hand would have been hard as the boat was going 40mph or so and I fell down twice while trying to take these. I'll have to go out at sunset again and play more witht he settings. I have some pretty good manual controls, so maybe I just need to figure them out more.
