hey guys n chicks...
I want build up my portfolio and have been 'playing around' with photoshop. Just wondering what your thoughts were on this.

As you might be able to see I am going through a blue phase at the mo ;)

it would help if you gave a reason for doing and in what context we are to criticise it in. Sure it looks good as a picture on my wall, but for a website/print/what

Well it was something I did inspired by a dream I had and a Chinese friend. So it would be for web/print I guess...

What I wanted to hear were general thought about it. If there is anything you guys think I could make better somehow :)

It's a cute image, I like it. Don't take people not posting as a sign of it being crap, it's cos we're all lazy. At least I know I am!

font is unreadable and I don't like the scan line.

fair enough. Think I mentioned it earlier... its supposed to symbolize a dream. The title of the image is dreamsofasia. I thought as dreams (mine anyway) always are so blurry the image should be too. Its meant to give an impression, not a clear and understandable vision/insight.

looks like a bad picture of crappy tv reception. i do not see anything unifying the image, it is not a composition, it looks like a piece from the scrap bin. the distortion is too little to be and element on its own but so much that it makes the viewer upset that it is distorting the image.

think about it like this. would you consider showing it to an audience other than anonymous users on an internet bulleting board?
-do you think it is a strong enough piece to show to a friend who will give you and honest opinion?
