I despise popups, and that site had um. I like the colors, but I thought it had ALOT going on at one time.

um.... well you have ability with flash... just need to develop real design sense

... Too much movement.. Looks pretty bland. At least you can do things in flash though.

You do know that flash can use raster images right? a lot of developers do their design in PS for the GUI. There are very few professional websites that are done completely in flash without any other programs.

I think one of the common problems with new users of flash is that they believe everything they need is in flash alone. True, you can make a site that way but the use of multiple programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator (After Effects for the more advandced) and even some 3D modeling programs like Maya, 3DSM, and swift3d all work to enhance your presentation.

Try adding some clean images made in PS for your background.

yea needs alot more in design. and black is not ur friend. Some people like boondock can do it, but you need work with it. you like the gradiant tool dont u.
Mabey draw out your designs first that helps me.

i think for a site like this, plain html site would be the only way to go.

the perpose is purely to find files, to download. not to be distracted by unnecessary flash movement.

but looks like your learning some skills.
