...are on their way to being built!

I just picked up my first batch of supplies to build my own
office/studio. It gets started this week equipped with my very
own bathroom and closet!

I'm pretty exstatic about it! :beam:

I've got like 50 architecture plans downstairs.. Everything from my own Cyber Cafe to a Bowling Alley with Bar n Grill..

I also have my Summer and Winter houses drawn out..

Along with a Designer Studio :)

hehe.. :) Yeah.. I wish I could build most of the things I have planned out... I'd be a millionaire... I've sat back and watched how the locla income gets spent and I think I could invest some money and make almost millions in years :)

This is going to be my REAL office. I went to Lowe's and bought
a pile of lumber, new tools (like a circular saw, tool belt, etc) and
I begin construction tomorrow! :beam:

no models - just my plans, and my hands.

Yeha man.. it's always fun to watch other people's projects go up timber by timber... Take a buttload of pictures and post them up here... I'm sure all us will find it handy..

You can also use the pictures as reference.. Sifting through them after a hard day of work and you say.. Well I didn't notice this today.. maybe I should go over that again...

Let me make sure your expectations are correct tho. This isn't
going to be some highrise in the city, with my logo in HUGE lighted
letters or anything....haha.

Actually, it's a bit of a downer after that context...

It's just a big space in my basement that's unfinished, but I'm
building it specifically for my office. MINE ALL MINE! At least until I
gain enough clientel to justify renting an office space somewhere.

Playa - yeah I've been to chambersburg. I'm really from Baltimore,
and don't really claim to be a Pennsylvanian, other than my
address. hehe ;)

thanks for the shared excitement, this makes me feel good about
it. I'm putting all my energy into getting the biz going, and never
having to go work for someone else again.

doing work for me on things that I just don't delv into (php, perl,

oh, suggestion: I don't know if you have or are willing to sacrifice a few inches of head room but you could *float* a wood floor over yer concrete slab for greater comfort...
(cleats or sleepers w/plywood over)
I did this once in a garage conversion - made for much greater comfort and only lost +/- 4"
if this matters - now would be the time to figure on it

RelandR - yeah i have a window! It's pretty cool, it's at my
chin-level so i can look right outside at ground level. This space
is intended for a bedroom in the building plans, but I need my
own workspace since UNFLUX has taken off.

As far as the floor, we're just gonna have it sheeted with plywood
and then padded & carpeted. I need to have it kind of firm in this
room because of the need to zoom around in my office chair. ;)

Soul - yeah she really said that....cutie indeed, thx =)
We've hammered colors, numbers, and letters into her since she
was born and now at 2yo she knows them all, and can count to
20 all by herself. I'm a proud pop indeed. =)

mdipi.com - She's a little over 2yo. Her birthday was on
Thanksgiving last year.




The room looks so small in these pics, I need to figure out a better
angle. It's 10x12 total area, so that's really a nice size room for
my office.

im asking cos i want to do somehting similar (build a small office maybe but here in mx, its way to f**king high prices :( (almost like $6000) just to build a small extra room at my home.

the building itself is actually pretty cheap. Probably going to be
around $1500 total when we're done with everything. Not including
furniture.

No building today...probably Wed we'll start framing the out walls.
