Hey, what's going on fellas? I just did a major renovation to the Fiyasurv.com. It's still not yet complete, but I just uploaded all the content in the Movies section. This Link (http://www.fiyasurv.com/fpt.html) brings you to the first completed project: Frail Paper trail. Check it out why don't ya’? Tell me what you think.
ADDED: for those on 56k connections, try this (http://fiyasurv.com/fpt56k.html) link for faster downloading!

I agree with Charlie Brown up there...
The preloader made me dizzy.... Add a status of how much has been loaded of the total. I think that would be better.
But I'm confused... were we to coment on the flash file of the website? I likes the flash bit...after the preloader ;)

I just fixed the preloader issue. It's simpler and shows the Percent downloaded, with no spinning anything. Try it out! Oh, and yeah, you can comment on the site if you want, but I was talking about the movie.

I thought the flash movie was good, but one thing troubles me it said something like doing the smae thing day in day out - where come from this is shortened to a phrase "same **** different day" :)
I liked it well put together short :)

the flash movie was alright. i would have liked to see the visuals play more on the meanings of the words. like when your talking about the same thing every day...i wanted to see those visuals loop thru...like the clock, book, TV, whatever...then start again...and maybe get faster each time to build tension for the redundancy of the day.
also, instead of just having the text show up on the paper, maybe you could have the paper slightly moving in the background, tilted maybe 10 degrees or so off balance, to give it some visual dynamics...i found myself just waiting for things to change and to happen b.c i got sorta bored quickly. the acutal illustrations themselves were okay...but seemed a little sloppy at times. maybe use the style you have for the guy and strictly apply that to the other objects?
also, the site in general is a bit of an eye strain. the white text on a blue background is just not working for me. I think you need a sans serif font, instead of that courier font you have going on...and maybe lighten up the background a bit and make the text black.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the visual loop. The funny thing is, the suggestion you made is sorta how it was originally, before I had to cut things out to make it more web-friendly, not to mention less processor intesive for slower Machines. As for the the site itself, I'll let the others decide, bc I could go either way. Do you guys think the site would benefit from a darker text and brighter background. Do you guys think San serif fonts are the way to go? If so, please let me know. I don't really want a flashy website just something simple and quick loading for all viewers.
as for the visual comments, i see what you mean. I was trying to go for a sloppy style, as if the narrotor himself drew it in the journal entery; i'm not sure how well that comes across now that I mention it.
I also really want to thank you guys for the honesty. I really enjoy improving things based on constructive feedback, so keep 'em Coming:hugegrin: !

I think a brighter/lighter bg colour would be easier on the eye and then you'd need to darken the textin order for it to be visible.
I like the courier font but it looks like you are using a too large size or perhaps you have the letter spacing increased? I dunno, but it's not quite right.
As for the movie... I think a smaller font size on the preloader would be nicer. And with regards to the journal enrties... I got the idea of the guy writing it down as he speaks. Perhaps try and find a hand written font? I think that would make it more visible that it is the guy writing. Plus I am a sucker for hand written fonts. :P
