hi,

well its good going for 6 months. the site has a unique feel to it, even though there is nothing ground breaking about it.

my main criticism is that it is cluttered and the layou has not been that well thought through. i barely noticed the news section.

i have a new quote for you.

less design is better design. dieter rams

but thats my opinion. many see more as better :P

I think you should make your website a little bigger. It looks too crowded now.
The text on the first page is too close together (I know it's meant to be like that), makes it hard to read.

Get a news section on your front page instead of putting that way down at the bottom. It's something you want the people to see.

You've got some great ideas there just make them a little more visible. Nice projects too! :D

for 6 months of flash, i think it's a pretty good start. i agree, items on the page is too cramped...you've got some nice portfolio works, you should show them off. it's safe to use 900 x 600 size for you flash file approximate so you have the room to work with.

show off your work in separate .swf files too so you don't have to worry about overall file sizes. also, in terms of fonts, try using dynamic font setting (you'll get more crisp fonts or even flash fonts - they gurantee crisp fonts especially for small text). a good example, as a reference, is www.group94.com (examples of space usage and simple, clean flash sites).

Your site is a great start for only 6 months into flash. I'd try and think of some transitions and possibly put in some sections to divide up your portfolio. Also, if you are going to post a resume or something, make sure to let the user know that you are going to pop up Adobe Reader or something like that in order to see your resume. Otherwise it is an unwelcomed thing to happen when someone thinks they are going to click on your resume link and see information on the actual page etc. etc. I'd check some of your actionscript on your music etc. But like I said it is a great start! Keep at it!!! (heck my site isn't finished yet, but this will be like my 4th portfolio site in a year . . . anyways good work!)

one minor thing I see about this is that the textual buttons seem to have a small hit area. I would try using a solid block around the whole area. Especially on the "quiet" button to turn the music off. It's very hard to actually get the mouse ON the button. *blinks*
