Now hosting is a different story, Domains and Hosting are two completely different things.
A lot of people here seem to like www.ipowerweb.com for hosting (they give you a domain name I believe with their hosting).

haha we all posted at the same time, but i was first ya know! lol. Godaddy is cheaper, but w/o free forwarding, or thats how it used to be...now i gotta find me a host...i will check them out jubby.

If you can live with a .tk in the end go to
DOT.TK (http://www.dot.tk/)
to get your FREE domain with FREE forwarding.
They offer hosting as well but that will cost you some $$$ ...
