waves? Like what type of waves? and thanks for your help with making my logo better :)
Im gonna remove the "crumble" looking ness from the border and make it smooth. well try to. What do you think?

Maybe you could make it more simple and not use too much textures. Waves, I mean sound waves. Here is a little example of what I mean:

Ok I took off the mic and smoothed out the border a bit here is the new one

well show us a vector version with 2-3 tones and none of that photoshop mess and we can crtique it better as a logo. If you want to make it like an orb do the orb tutorial, get rid of the border, and use a much simpler font. But honestly just start sketching out ideas and come up with different things than your letters in an orb.

Don't use too many colours and complex textures that just don't look nice and make the whole thing unclear.

unlike paddy's mature response.
Shush you. I was just joking. (Although I did PM him the thread link.)
Here then is an honest critique of this logo.
1. At the moment it's not a logo. It's some letters and circles thrown together in PS. If you want critique on a logo you need to post one with a maximum of 3 colours as unchew said. Also a logo is always vector first so you can resize it. Simple shapes are the way to go.
2. There isn't really much to it is there if you strip away the PS effects?
3. What is a photo doing in there? Take it away.
4. There isn't really any design to this. You've obviously spent a lot longer on the effects than on the actual logo.
Don't use PS for logos. If you don't already have it I would suggest you invest in Adobe Illustrator. And good luck with the logo.

it would look a lot better if you just used the mic with TCR next to it (in a different font). show it in black and white without all the fancy photoshop work.

 Paddy and Envy are actin like fools
Anyway... there isn't much more I can say that hasn't already been said. It's not really a logo. If you put it to black and white it's just gonna be a ring around some simple text letters. The "logo" itself doesn't speak anything about the company that you're representing, which is definately something you need to work on. Once all the "glamor" of PS is gone this is a really bland... logo w/ poor execution. That's my .02
EDIT: Also... unchew's isn't any better than yours, some ppl are just silly like that. :cantlook:

You want your logo to be something someone can remember vividly, think Nike's swoosh, mcdonalds golden arches etc... What you have there is fancified letters. You will get better results if you use unchew's logo.

Unew example logo reminded me "AC/DC" , although I do think the sound waves would be a good idea. I liked your logo juse but I'm not a big fan of black & red.

I never said it was good, and I never said it was more beautiful, I just said it was better as a logo. It at least gives you a hint of what the company does... That's something anyone would agree with.
