Hi!!! well i've searched this great forum and the web for a way to make this cool header graphics http://www.acceptancerock.com/ but, i couldn't find what i was after.
OK, i'm searching for a tutorial or something that could explain me how to make those header graphics, any ideas will be great.
For me, and i don't know if i'm wrong here, it seams a combination of brushes and some blending modes, but how to manage to make it work like that???
Thanks guys. waiting to here from you...

I'll try to get the tutorial up today:
Here's what a few minutes toying around brought about. all original work:
I didn't have a super promo shot and it was late so I didnt' search...
Also the band picture I have was greyscale which made a huge difference.
If i can find a better band shot I'll update it...

forgot the drop shadow on the killers tag...good work though, you may want to use a different layer effect on the band or try increasing the levels.

like i said the band photo i had was a washed out greyscale promo photo - i needed a colored one to get that same style effect the easiest. a few minutes in PS - and I didn't load the right brushes for the job :(
Simp: LOL - i felt so wrong doing it - but i kept telling myself, hey this is a really cool shade of blue...besides i hid it with the word "muse" yeah that's it...lol.
working on that tut now :)

This is not a comprehensive use this exact setting tutorial, I want you to experiment and freely interpret the steps. Hence the brevity and lack of screenshots in some places. "Feel" this one out.

Don't forget to add the dotted grey line on the inside of "The Killers - Hot Fuss" black box! otherwise, that's a pretty fantastic reproduce.

lol thanks
i left out the dashed line...the piece can live with or without it - i mention it briefly in that tutorial
you could also find a stock photo of a jean label and tweak it as needed - that would look cool too
