funnily enough I was just looking at this site from a previous post on a thread, just generally being nosey looking at what ya got :)

Its very simple and your work is good so they kind of meet to give you a nice end result - granted I'm sure you will admit its no masterpiece but it does the job and looks professional :)

You've ticked most boxes with that but you aint got the wow factor but its a nice little site and displays your works and info well :)

I like it. I'm glad you finally picked a domain name :P. I just feel sort of clamped with only a small section scrolling.

There would be more room, if the scroller, scrolled the other way. A screen i far more wide than high. Therefore it might be a good idea, when you have so much content in the frame, to scroller the other way, else it looks okay.

Let me put it this way, it's not your website that is selling your work, it's going to be your previous work.

A thing I see more and more often, is that companies want it to be easy for themselves to sell their products. Often they split their customers in three groups - a ABC segmentation - based on how much the customer is worth for the company, e.g. how much they spend, how much the company earn and how often they bye. Now, what I doesn't get is, why are the company is making such an effort to make it easy for themselves, instead of using all the time on making it easy for the cutomer. Because in the end, it's the customer that the company lives and breath through.

Just some thoughts, not saying you're site is bad, but if it was me, and if the website were for my cutomers so that they could see that I'd done, I would consider making it better for the user. And if that meat some extra work for me, then I would just have to take that extra time.

I'm not trying to offend you or anything, but you should maybe consider if this website is good enough for your else so excellent work...?

I just have to say I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh in my previous post, as the two others said, it does the job, and I also overlooked the part of you saying, that you were going to make a new one when you got the time. So, it's okay, but nothing compared to all your other work, which I simply just love :)

I looked at your site and it is defintitely something i aspire to, problem is my knowledge of flash is okay, i just apply design principles and really need to get into XML, i assume that this drives your site

I thought the monkey one was very nice, very simple but had some nice little features like the menu popping up and being hidden.

Also that site really emphasises your drawing and design skills like the vibrance of the about section looks great in that design, with the layout being so simple and your art work being so good it really sets the scene.

i liked the monkey one too, howevever i coudlnt find a way to fit my work in satisfactorily... thing is i have another site with a friend which is for web work. this portfolio is to sell me as a desginer overall.

web work is very much a side thing for extra cash. my job will hopefully be in a consultancy

Well, it's better that your customers can see your work, than a "website is under construction" splah page :)

I love the website in flash you've done so far, it looks really good, I've only once tried to make something similar - don't even bother asking me how it went.

XML is very easy and very hard. The most little stupid things can mess it all up, e.g. I can't make a simple linking button in my gallery - and have now asked for help. But I almost fully understand the 100 lines of coding that is necessary for the others part of gallery.

All ( which is not much, compared to some of the others on this forum ) the xml understanding and knowledge I've, is from the truly great tutorials about xml on this website. And if you ever need help, just ask, people are - as you properly already know - very helpful, at this forum.

Another reason to why I might not be the best at XML yet, is that, I've spent a lot of time on combining it with CSS. A great advantage if it works, and it's those little extra things that the clients are willing to pay a lot of money for, even though they almost never use them.

But to get back to this topic, you already know my opinion on your website - and the one in flash. I would love to drop a message or two about the three others, but there's something wrong with your links - 404...?
