hats off to you stringy - loved everything from the way the thumbs load to the image transitions. The resizing mask is only 1/5th of the cool effect in this file!
*downloads quickly before it disappears*
:hr:
p.s. are the drawings yours? :)

Your second problem in the parseMe function change initframe(1) to initframe(0)
I have been unable to reproduce your first problem,can you provide a link so i can see.

I can only guess- make sure
columns = 5;
rows = 3;
are large enough to contain your thumbs.
Also if even one thumbnail is missing-it wont work.
I just made a file for someone based on the same code with 50 large jpgs/thumbnails which works fine

ok thanks for the easy fix on prob. #2 ... could prob. #1 be a mx2004 problem ... it always on first load everything is pushed way up to the left hand corner and then when you hit a thumb ... if you can see one ... it centers in the page

I was thinking the same thing as i am careless with case but it seems to work ok for me in 2004.
Try loading in a smaller picture or increasing the values of maxW = 700;
maxH = 300; in the script to larger than the size of the first image.
You could also try reducing the number of mask mcs.
