hey guys, we are going into war no matter what. the least you could do is support the troops, even if you dont support the cause. they need our help to feel what they are doing is right.

people need to seriously stop hating the president and stuff.. we take so much of the stuff we have for granted.. why doesn't everyone that hates bush go live in a 3rd world country for a year or 2 and see how much they like it.
It's gotta be some-what of a hard roll to be the leader of the strongest nation in the world. I for one think we are doing the right thing going to Iraq and even if you don't agree with me, that's cool, but have a little faith in your country.

Come to think of it, how many visits to war torn 3rd world countries has our president made since being elected? (and no, sending f-16s with bombs doesn't count). If everyone that hated Bush went to live in a third world country, the United States Economy would shrivel up and die. This war cannot be stopped. That i have no doubts on.

That is a horrible thing to say, Dan, but you are entitled to your own opinion. My version of your quote would be, "No bastard deserves to die from anything besides natural causes,' but i guess it would be wrong, since it doesn't agree with W.

Sorry, I guess I'm just not scared to die, not suicidal either. I just know where I am going when I die and I figure it is better than here, but I don't the balls to take my own life. Ummm yea, ok time for me to shut up now. . . .

What did you not get. I basically said I have no clue what war is like, but I still support the country that has supported me since I was born. I may be wrong and I am only 18 so I take it I don't really have any knowledge to have anything substantial to support the U.S. debate here besides my natural intuition of what I have been raised by.

nobody knows where they are going when they die. You may believe that you might go somewhere, but to know is to have proof, and proof denies faith, and without faith, God is nothing (his own words).

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction....The chain reaction of evil -- hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars -- must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.

whoever said that agreeing with our country's foreign policy was law? or that disagreeing with it was a crime?
I find it fascinating that most people who oppose war don't launch personal attacks against those who support it, but I'd have to say that about 70% of those I've encountered that support the war have launched personal attacks agains those who oppose. I've also found that MOST people who oppose war have very specific and intelligent reasons to oppose it, while those who support the war argue with rherotic and chauvinism... "You're supposed to be patriotic... support our troops... support the country that has given you so much"
I, for one, would like to see an informed, intelligent argument for war that is supported by strong evidence, and does not rely on rhetoric. Not even bush has provided that.
And I saw a comment earlier on, that we should be grateful to our government for our security and standard of living. But I just have to say that this is purely crappity crap crap. It's rhetoric. I can point out very easily that our standard of living is a result of work someone did 5, 10, 20 years ago... I can also easily point out that the leadership we have today is not the one that gave us this standard of living. If anything, it's undoing any diplomatic work we have done since the end of the cold war.
and so say, comments like the quoted one above aren't necessary or constructive. We can take the rhetoric that comes out of our behinds and throw it at each other all we want. But comments like the one above just make me put a huge label on the person who said it. You know... maybe there's a very good and valid reason for this war, and I want to know it, if there is one...
