Can someone please pass on the message to Jubba that I'm wondering if he's figured out what is wrong with the .fla i sent him ages ago...I received no reply :*(

Yeah I might send it to someone else but he wrote the tutorial for what I am attempting to do...anyway I wish I was away from school...**** uni is so busy...no time for Kirupaforums anymore :*(

don't worry Jubba. It was about your actionscripted text tutorial...I don't have the file on this computer because our PC is getting upgraded and the hard disk is getting fixed up...is it ok if I send it to you again?

This is what I have so far. Is this what you are looking for?

One other thing, the point of the motion tweens was to simply animate the text. Just give it some kind of animation. You can do whatever you like there... as long as you make sure that the MC has the same instance name in every keyframe.

uh that doesn't produce the same effect as in your tutorial though...:-\ Or is that what the animation does?

Ok, well it doesn't produce the same effect because it needs to have some motion tweens. Let me do that and I'll reload the file... hold on a few seconds...

that's pretty cool! i thought it was the actionscript that animated the test but it's the motion tween you just added right?

yeah, its the motion tween that animates the text. The actionscript only cuts up the String and prints out each letter.

I can't get those lines to disappear. Not sure about those.

I had to change around the code a little bit. Do you want me to e-mail you the file that I have?

well it seems like Flash is making them on its own. Someone here might know. you should post about it in the Flash forums...

just post the link that I posted, send them to the file I posted on my site and ask why those lines appear because I have no idea.

I will e-mail you the file.
