Hi, Im redesigning my site, its already one year old and u know, u have to keep it fresh ;) check out what I have now....its just that, I have one buttons as an example of the nav system Im planning to use....please tell me suggestions opinion everything! oh and the flower picture is going to be changed...

It's really... fresh! Changes I would make would be:

1. Don't bother with rotating the preloader, start with it horizontal.
2. Speed up the transition in, just by like 25% or something...!

Oo nice quality :thumb:. I really like the site. Why is it whenever I import after effects to flash it comes out all disgusting quality :puzzled:. Those trapcode plugins are mucho sexio (!).

I found some type of bug. If you mouse over the W in Web.Multimedia, the portfolio shakes violently. Otherwise, looks good :cap:

I made it with after effects with a plug-in called Particular from Trapcode :) also the smoke was made with it.

where it says 'portfolio' at an angle on the 'tab' (nav item) it bugs me that it looks pixelated... unless that's what you were trying for. then it still bugs me but is justified at least... nice work and transitions. i'd change the type on your preloader too... it looks kind of wierd... nice job though!

oh, one other thing... your drop shadow on the image (of the flower) looks uneven a bit. I almost want to see a soft shadow in there, like a .png behind the image or something... what kind of other stuff can you do with AE? (you personally).

one more minor glitch. if you click and hold the portfolio button and then move your moure off it, it stays in the up position.

ur right, now it looks too plain, ill make it softer maybe....what kind of stuff can I make....well I know how to handle all the basics of the software, the effects, the timeline, masks, play with different effects, combine plug-ins, etc :) I post some things sometimes in the D&D forum

Umm... looks ok. Preloader is pretty kewl I think the grey really takes away from it. I don't know if there is another page or somethin that ppl are lookin at but there isn't anythin that I'm able to click on and make it do anythin. If I move slightly to the right of the portoflio thing it glitches... moves back and forth all sezure like.

As for the design... it's kinda basic I guess... nothin really sticks out from it. The flower looks odd on the stem and all that... it looks like it should be one of those page turn sites... but it's not. The font... well... you know how I feel about that font (Bureau Agency for those that don't know).

I did like the crack effect and the preloader... that's really it from me.

Great site!

1- The preeloader keeps the letters under the bar... Maybe you could "erase" them as the bar comes over them.
2- The epiliptic button is just plainly too big, thusly you're with your cursor over the edge of it and makes the dam thing go back and fourth...
I'd try a timer on the thing, sorta goes up and stay a while then comes back...
I read something about a timer in flash somewhere...
Wouldn't fix the problem, just wouldn't appear to be a crazy button
or you could try and make the mouse over not happen when the cursor is over the picture of the flower...

Simp....yea the design is very basic as it is know, I have a lot of ideas for this site, its just that I want some opinions in every step of the process, also the flower, its going to be changed, Ill post some updates later ;) and u really have some problem if there are big and ugly monkeys inside ur pants :lol:

if you put your mouse over the big image, over where the folio button would be, it jitters as it moves out from underneath your mouse and then back over it.

Also, I love the part where the text bumps the MovieClip over. I would even make it more exaggerated just 'cause I think it's creative.

yea, Im working on some things right now because theres going to be more buttons....and also the active area will no longer work if u put ur mouse over the pic of the flower :)

Umm... the only thing I saw is that it always plays that preloader thing. I have in one of my projects i'm working on an exiting preloader effect. But instead of it playing it all the time I have the movie calling if bytesLoaded = 100 then go to such and such frame... if not, then play the preloader. Other than that I think a neato effect for your site would be to do the browser shake thing to enhance the effect. I know some ppl don't like it... but if it makes sense then do it. The new image cover looks better than the flower too.

I wasn't too keen on the airship to be honest: I think that it doesn't look as natural as the other images and effects.

Ok... well I can't upload the .fla but I can give you the code. This is assuming you're using the Kirupa preloader to begin with. Keep all the code that they have but make a new first blank keyframe then in that first frame insert

gotoAndPlay(2); // goes to preloader
}

I'm sure you can adjust it to whatever frame you need it to goto. Also, I'm sure there's a better way of doing it but this is the quickest easiest way to bypass the preloader "outro" if you will.

I love the preloader thing, I was so impressed at the particle thing I made one myself (in actionscript, mine is random! :P... it's pretty cpu intensive though ;)

ANYWAY, the site looks pretty good, I'm not a big fan of the airship myself either, it stands out quite a bit. Otherwise it's a very impressive site.. I like it so far :D

All your effects are awesome! What happened to the navigation? And I agree with some others, the airship is technically pretty kewl, but you have a flower and cracks and alpha particles and I just don't think that the airship really fits. Maybe if you could incorporate something to tie it into the site? Great work though!
