Design 2 (http://www.oraystudios.com/main_2.htm)
Wich one do you like better?
Also give some comments for improvement, these are just two concepts.
I like the second one more.

Well i sure as HELL DONT. hahah, but seriously, i think the diagonal lines go contrary to the site's flow. You've got all of this horizontal movement, and yet the background goes diagonal. If you lighten up the colours in the first I think you might have a winner. Also, the grey colour of the text in the sections doesnt match the overall colour scheme, have you thought about a dark brown?

Brown is pretty unqiue for a website i guess. Not too fond on the colour scheme, but the site is really nice, good quick transitions nice navigation
I think the second one looks better at the moment, the first background, looks er not nice. I really like the simple GIF repeated pattern on your html background.....i'd like to see that as your background.
Add some roll overs on your nav, and i know its under construction so I'll leave it at that as you''ll probably do all the other little touches when you've decided which way to go

I like the second one.... the diag design is eye catching, and I like how it breaks up the horizontal flow of the site.

The second is best in my opinion - i like the background on the second one better than the first. But its a nice website all together, the colours are lovely. Im not sure about your navigation though.

Just text based navigation doesnt do it for me, i like a robust menu with buttons etc.

i think i like the second one better
from a usabiltiy standpoint though...you shouldn't be moving your nav up and down and up again...it should always ALWAYS be in the same place no matter what. make it consistent. Also, the "sub-nav" is sorta confusing, because at first i read it as the main nav. and its also a little weird how you have that about/me/whatever/whatever at the top of the window in the "front" page. i thought that was the nav too.
basically...too much confusion / not enough consistency with the nav. just work on that and i think it'll be cool. the colors dont bother me as much as some of the other people i think...and the transitions are quick and smooth.

Design 2 is obviously a LOT better than 1.
The things i really didn't like about design 1 is the font you used in your logo is also in the textbox.
Actually i think the font looks way too "old" for a site where you also use pixel fonts.
In the 2nd design you only did your logo with it. Still not thrilled about that font but it isn't disturbing me as it did in the 1st design. :)
The horizontal lines background in 1 really didn't do it for me.
In 2 it's done much better compared to 1.
Personally i'm not a big fan of your color scheme but in some way it still fits in the right way. :)

i will do something on the subnav, but i wont change the main menu. I like that very much. I wont update anything for public after this post, because i am gonna work further on design 2 until it's finshed, and then i will show it to you again.
You can still post comments and crits though

Second one is better than the first one :) Too heavy and everything seems totally heavy on colours and get distracted by the background.
