Is there a way to simulate a lip gloss effect in photoshop?

Say I got this picture of a girl then i want to put lip gloss on her lips because she wasnt using any make up in the pic.

Do you guys do taht in the retouching process?

there is probably several ways and I haven't time to try it, but try the plastix wrap filter on the lips, and soften it with an eraser at the edges

Take the airbrush... and brush highlights in... that's all you have to do, and it will give you more control and a more realistic effect. If she has red lipstick on use, pinks, for a base and add onto it w/ lighter pinks, and white. You could also, take the lips g. blur them and play w/ the layer blending.

All you basically need is a hotspot (a relatively tight one) to give the effect of gloss. The tighter the hotspot the shinier the effect. Feather it to lessen the effect.

i think you might be mistaken... guitarplayer was asking about colouring a chick's lips, not putting her in a dream sequence...
