variables from php

my movie takes variables from php into a dynamic text but how can i use that variable for php functions. i want to use that variables in a for loop.
one more problem.i have a preloader in my movie includes external jpegs but preloader doesnt get the file size of jpegs.is there a simple preloader you have.
