Notebook...

I wanted to ask, whether some of you have experiences with Notebooks. Which one do you guys have. Which ones are effortable, around 1000 to 1100$ ? What would you recommend?

I've got a Toshiba 5205 (i think). Mine was a bit more than $1100 though, but I use mine as my primary computer now. But what are you wanting to do with it. You can get a 2 pound dell which is extremely portable for about $1100, or you can get one thats more power oriented (although for $1100, you'd be much better off getting a pc for power).

My uncle baught notebook (P4 1700 MHz, 256 MB ram, 20 GB hdd...), which was around 1150 euros.

I want it for playing around with PS and coding... So it need not to be high end.
I want to have it as a second pc, normaly i have a 1800XP+ Desktop Pc
So it shouldn't be better then my desktop ;p Do you know a place where you can buy used Notebooks ?

Mario fan is right - if you are going to get a laptop - go with the new Mac ones, they are very nice. Even though I am not a huge fan of the Mac Platform - there powerbooks are second to none - in performace that is. Price - well that's anothe issue :)

i got a 15inch powerbook, so a 12ich would be a big step back for me, but for the price and features the 12 ich powerbook is by far the nicest laptop for just over a grand! its made of aluminium for godsake! you can get it with superdrive! its the smallest fully featured notebook on the planet - it goes everywhere with you!!
