Hey guys,

Just thought I would see what y'all thought of a little scrolling ticker applet I built...

http://www.therossman.org/ticker/tickerconcept.html

The images are all just placeholders (1 through 10) right now, but you get the idea!

Look forward to hearing your thoughts,
rossman

wow html anchors and formatting tags work! thats awesome, frost will probably be interested to know how you did that! Oh some formatting works, what about links?

Also right clicking doesn't do anything for me but let me chose quality and the usual.

Right-click in the text input area should give you a content menu that allows you to apply your formatting choices to the text.
ie. select some text, right-click, and choose "Bold" and the tags for bold will be wrapped around the selection.
You can also choose "Image Menu" from the right-click content menu and the menu will change giving you an opportunity to insert the various images on the left side.

PS - it's not currently designed to support hyperlinks although it could easily enough. The ticker will be running on a 50" plasma screen in a hospital lobby so people can't interact with it anyways (ie. via mouse-click etc)

the actual app is good, but dam man you got to clean up that GUI, and that font is blurred to hell in the input box.

nice app though, well nice ticker.

Yeah, as you can obviously tell I just finished it so there is no design applied to it as yet.

How can I make the text in the input box less blurry? It's just a standard InputText box and has fonts embedded...

Thanks, though ;)

It's great. Right down to the preview text. ;)
