besides, in real life graf art, another artist just goes over the first, and this cool layering effect happens.. go ahead, and open the JPEG in photoshop, and go to town... :thumb:

It would be gangster if you added more little stars in the bg, and made it 3d, with the point of origin way in the back so it looks like the stars are jumping out of the page.

it's all about the style of writing... i don't really know how you learn it, but there are distinctive styles that people use, and also the interaction between letters is really important.

one thing i can tell you is that the base of your letters are all kinda level which isn't usually suitable with the style i think.

still, you're not gonna learn if you don't try, are you :)

Lol, well thanks for the reply. I didn't honestly expect it to be on target anyways :P...but at first I thought graff art was only graffiti style writing but then I got confused cause I saw some of the stuff by tommy and foodpk which didn't have anything to do with graffiti really. Yet it qualifies as graff art? So I'm unsure now, what exactly defines something as graff art? And if this is hard to learn are there any sites or something I might be able to learn from? To me most of the graff writing is utterly confusing and illegible but I like to learn new stuff so :)!

I've been trying to get hold of some Nocturna brushes for a very long time, but the website has long since gone ... they must still be somewhere in cyberspace somewhere though! you want to learn graffiti, spend every night sketching devote nearly all of your time to it, work on it for over 2 years then show ur progress, no offence but all the stuff in this thread is rubbish even for beginers. graffiti developed around letter styles. Not mishapen blocks which resemble letters. To many add-ons make it look stupid.

Negative, did the tracing and colour filling in flash, popped it into photoshop, gave it the 3d look, added the orange and white forcefields and popped THAT back into flash, added the bubbles, exported that.

It's all paint marker, and i agree, the link between the a and i looks crappy and not straight and smooth but thats because the backpack material isnt flat. In real life its good.
