New Wallpaper

[UNFLUX]

I wanted to see what you all think of my new wallpaper. I went
ahead and made each size for you all to be able to view it properly.

wow, they look really good. the colors look good too. keep up the good work:)

I like the colors and the content, but I don't like the effect on the butterfly. I think it would look a lot cleaner if you left the butterfly alone with it's originaly look.

after trying it, I actually agree with you EG. I updated all the files
to no effect on the butterfly. Thx for the input! =)

GARRETTDESIGN - pretty much all I did was take a section
of a photograph I liked for the colors, and tried a few things in
photoshop. Gaussian Blur is one of 'em. enjoy.

Hey garrett a good way to achieve that effect is to:

1. Chose a nice large photo with some colors you like.

2. Blur the hell out of it...A very high gaussian.

3. Then do a large motion blur (reverse these 2 steps and see what happens also).

4. Then play with the levels and color adjustments.

5. ANother option is to duplicate the layer on step 2. then play with the layer blend.

6. I try to use this technique instead of gradients allot of times.

..i like the butterfly...

the only suggestion i have is clean up some of the bitmap fonts...looks like your font size might be up too high on: completed, completed, in progress...

thx LoungeActx - what size did you view?

I created the image at 1600x1200 and shrunk it down for the
smaller size screens. I ran an unsharp mask on it, but the
compression on the web images must of taken some of the detail
away. :-\

gotta clean it up then...thx. :)

the colors are beautiful though!

I really like it, it's my new background on this comp. ...I don't normally use this comp. ... but then I don't normally change the bg on it either!

And whoever was asking, I've found taking a smaller image and doing a gradient map with a florecent color turns out nice. Like that butterfly sorta.

Oh, and I've never had a problem with contrast and that junk!

LoungeActx - I completely changed the font for COMPLETED
and IN PROGRESS and it looks much better. I also remade each
file again with less compression, and they turned out much
cleaner. Thx for the input. :)

Aislin - Flattering to hear that someone else is using it as
