this is the updated one

[url="http://www.leihi2.nl/digital.htm"]www.leihi2.nl/digital.htm (http://www.leihi2.nl)

this new version is a large one so it will take alot of time to load... this version is actually for cd presentation for my traineeship (dont know if i spelled it correct) so the size didn't really matter... but because i didn't want to make it smaller just for the web.. i put the large version online... ow yeah.. best viewed 1024x768...also this portfolio is a school assignment..

and it isn't finished.. im planning to do this on sunday....

I have a few critiques, alot more cons than pros:

Pro: Really really nice robot animations, I like those

Con:

Found it extremely hard to navigate
Almost everything seems unclickable, such as the skills section, and the about section is empty..and the work section, I can't click on any of the works to view them

Welcome back though!

ike that took soo long to load :S (yea you warned us but stilll...) maybe make a toned down web version? It is very hard to navigate. I wanted to take my mouse off to view the animation, then when it loaded and i tried to click a button it would go away :( Maybe make it so that on rolloff the animation plays in reverse so that just because you rollover doesn't have the main nav fully load. That way people would know they have to leave their mouse on the navigation in order to use it.

Can't view any of the works either, not clickable. Also what happens to users with 800 resolution? They won't even be able to scroll over to view the rest of the site, so all they will see is the robot thing and be confused lol.

i like the 3d really nice, but u might want to speed up the animation...

are those work thumbnails supposed to be linked to stuff cause i cant click on it. i think it has the potential to look good, of course u already know about the load time so not gonna metion it.

Nice 3d there but the load time was waaaaay to long. I'm on a smoking connection and it still took a while. I dont see why it took so long to load either. There is hardly any movement, and the thing that does move is like 2 inches tall. I would optomize it, and have a static navigation, it's verry hard to navigate (the menu kept going away on me!!!).

Nice 3d skill :)

Cheers!

not all buttons are linked... still working on that.. been working at this thing for 3 days..
skills section isn't ready... the speed is 50 fps.. dunno why it goes slow ... works fine for me... the load time here is i think 30 sec... and that hit point.. i will change... i had problems with that to..

what are you guys compaining about the loading speed?
It was faster then flashlevel so i think it's oke.

I don't like the preloader font. It's just Times New Roman

Wow, I really love the robot thing and the animation, but the swf is too big, it took me quite some time to load it at approximately 200kB/s (your server is fast though, hehe), most people don't have connections as fast and don't want to wait several minutes for it to load. But apart from the loading, which really kills the whole thing, I think it's great.
Oh and those 3D animations, you did them with Swift3D, right?

even still, i don't think that the preloader on the /digital.htm site works at all. I'm running firefox over here, and when a flash file is loading, on the bottom left corner it displays smething like "Transferring data blah blah blah/myfile.swf" this didn't appear, so that made me wonder. I waited for it to load, and then I pressed refresh, and expecting a quick loadtime because most of the information was already stored in the cache, but this wasn't the case. It took just as long to load. But anyways, you said ths is for a cd so I guess it really doesn't matter, just something I noticed.
