hotlinking help

I'm trying to find some free webspace with good uptime which allows for hotlinking, however every one I find gives me the error message
"The file (URL) cannout be displayed, because it contains errors."
Well I say, it opens on my computer, so how can it contain errors? no matter what server i upload it to, what compression, any settings I can change, this error message keeps coming up, tested in both IE and FF... HELP!

Sounds farmiliar...I think I had a similar problem before. I dont think I ever got around to fixing it though. Try resaving the image as another file.
