Yeah, it is quite unfortunate. I heard about this from SWFNews a week or so ago (I was linked to it by a friend). I thought it was just a joke, but I never thought it would actually happen :(

But then again, since I have just begun to get a grip on MX syntax, they will prob come out with a new version...

I looked at a Friends Of Ed book once, something about Math tricks in Flash. It was the best Flash book I had ever seen, but unfortunatly it cost a bit much for me at the time. The guys from Bit-101 and Levitated.net were both in it, along with 6 or 8 others. Maybe I'll go get that book really soon.

Here in my palce they still sell those great Friend of Ed books. Currently I have 2 of their books have just bought the other one today. Did they really declared bankcruptcy? Guess I'm the one to know the news :*(

I didn't even know they were releasing a new version, so I don't know what it supports. That would rock though, at least dynamic .gifs would if not dynamic .pngs.

but dynamic .png's could be soo helpful, especialy with with the abilty to have tracparency...and .gifs could be very useful as well...
